Stars show their class as Welsford wins and Spratt successful at the opening day of the Lexus Of Blackburn Bay Crits
The 2020 Lexus of Blackburn Bay Crits began under a hazy sky with smoke from the Victorian bush fires descending upon the Geelong foreshore earlier today.
But conditions cleared just in time for the elite women’s and men’s races on the tight Ritchie Boulevard circuit, with thousands of holiday makers enjoying a picturesque evening at the event.
The famous Lexus of Blackburn Bay Crits are back for 2020, and this event always delivers the big names to get the year off to a flying start.
As we approach our 30th edition we are again pleased to present a high calibre mix of World Champs, National champs, international superstars and home-grown heroes.

The superstars of Australian cycling have honed their craft at the Bay Crits. Names such as Cadel Evans, Stuart O'Grady, Robbie McEwen, Brad McGee, Baden Cooke, Brenton Jones and Caleb Ewan and in the women's Kathy Watt, Anna Wilson, Oenone Wood, Rochelle Gilmore and Tracey Gaudry
And now more champions come to start the year at the ‘Bay Crits’, and the headliners are amazing.
