Stage 1 Information
In 2022, Stage 1 is on the beautiful Eastern Gardens course. Tackling it clockwise tilts the race slightly in favour of the sprinters as the downhill approach to the short sharp climb allows the riders to climb it with pace. it is usually a tailwind down the back straight but if it's a headwind then the circuit becomes much tougher. Whatever the conditions it sure to produce an exciting finish.
